Eddy Reynoso, coach of Canelo Álvarez wished the British Billy Joe Saunders a speedy recovery, after the cavity fracture orbital that he suffered during the weekend’s fight.
In his message the coach also made it clear that there is no personal rivalry between Canelo and Saunders after what happened in the ring.

The missive was published a day after the Englishman underwent a surgery to treat the serious fracture he suffered , and which will obviously keep him out of the ring for a considerable time.

When he ran the eighth round of the fight held on May 8 in the city of Dallas, The Mexican gave Saunders a right uppercut that fractured four of the seven bones that make up the British’s orbital cavity.

The injury forced the fight to stop, and Canelo was awarded the victory immediately.
It was known that Billy could be out of the ring for an approximate time of one year , and his everything, I would not fight any more fights.
