Seriously injured man caught in downtown Los Angeles shooting

A man described by police as innocent bystander is seriously injured after being caught in a crossfire that occurred Tuesday night in downtown Los Angeles , according to authorities.

The shooting happened at 7: 07 afternoon on the 130 block of East 6th Street, west of Maple Avenue, said Mike Lopez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Three men were driving inside of a vehicle when a person who was standing on the sidewalk shot them , as López said. The agent also related to KTLA that, when the vehicle drove away, they opened fire from inside.

A person who was walking in the area at this time, and that the authorities consider to have some 35 years, was shot in the crossfire .

According to the spokesman López, the man was in very serious condition when he was transferred to receive medical treatment. However, the authorities did not release further information on the case, or on the victim’s current state of health or on the people who allegedly shot.
