Pop music icon Ed Sheeran , will be a sponsor of the new Ipswich FC shirt of the League One of England (Third Division).

On countless occasions Sheeran has shown his unconditional support to the team of his city : “The Club is a large part of the community and this is my way of showing my support ”. It should be noted that the sponsorship will be for both the men’s and women’s teams.

The initial contract will be for one year with the Blues , in which athletic performance is expected to improve with new US owners. “ With the arrival of new US owners, There are sure to be exciting times ahead for Ipswich fans , myself included. Hopefully we can stop being careless. ”
Sheeran excited to return to stadiums
“I have always enjoyed my trips to Portman Road and I’m looking forward to getting back there as soon as the fans can get back into the stadiums.
Town Sales Director Rosie Richardson said: “We are obviously delighted that Ed has agreed to become our t-shirt sponsor next season.”
“I have worked with Ed and his management team on various initiatives over the years and welcomed Ed and his guests to Portman Road to many games. He has shown his support for his hometown in many ways and this is another example of that . We look forward to seeing Ed, and all the other fans, back at Portman Road next season. ”
Pre-orders for the new home jersey are expected start in early June.
