In his most recent interview Canelo Álvarez has been incendiary. Not only did he speak in an unpublished way about his life, but also gave details about several of his colleagues.
The Mexican champion attacked Óscar de la Hoya , with whom For years he had a working relationship through the promoter Golden Boy.
“I was always very loyal to Golden Boy Promotions, but he doesn’t do anything at Golden Boy . He keeps worrying about drinking and doing other things, “said Álvarez about who was an Olympic medalist in 1992.
He also affirmed that those who belonged to the promoter only saw for their welfare, instead of looking after the boxers. “Óscar de la Hoya does not know loyalty” , he assured.
The interview was granted to the journalist Graham Bensinger . Canelo also said that he sued the promoter and now enjoys greater freedom after leaving it.
