Jeffrey disappeared on July 2, 1981, after leaving his Anaheim Hills home to watch a fireworks display. His body was found the next day by construction workers in Pomona.

The body of Miguel Antero was found in Agoura Hills on April 8, 1985 , the same day he disappeared from his home on that city.

Rasmuson was arrested in Idaho in 2015 after a DNA test linked it to the murder of Jeffrey, and was later linked to the murder of Miguel.

Rasmuson had pleaded guilty to the charges last February to avoid a death sentence.

The crimes occurred between 1981 Y 1985. Rasmuson was arrested in March of 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho, after DNA tests linked him to Vargo’s murder on July 2, 1981, and was extradited to California to answer for the crime.

While awaiting trial for this murder, Rasmuson was charged with the murder of Antero, committed on April 8, 1986. The body of the Hispanic minor was found near his home, the same day he disappeared.

Rasmuson had previously been convicted in 1981 for sexually assaulting a child of 11 years. The man deceived the victim by asking her to “help him find his disabled dog”. The attack occurred in Santa Barbara, according to the accusation MyNewsLA had access to.

The man was sentenced to prison for that sexual assault that also occurred in 1981, only two months after the Vargo’s murder, and when he completed that prison term he was considered a “criminal with mental disorders.”

He was released from prison in 1985 and was ordered to undergo treatment for sexual disorders, and during that time he killed Antero in 1985, prosecutors said in their indictment.

A year later, Rasmuson kidnapped a 3-year-old boy from the front yard of his house in Los Angeles. The little boy was found naked the next day, wandering by the side of a road. For this crime he was finally found guilty and sentenced to 17 years in prison.

The man “admitted” to the doctors that he had “ committed at least 06 sexual abuse of minors since the years, in a period of 4 years. ”

Rasmuson was released again in 2007.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer served a motion to the Los Angeles court arguing that “the background, character and The defendant’s perspectives show that he is a dangerous serial predator that is unlikely to change. ”
