One of the most popular traditions of sports fans in Los Angeles has come to an end: Hot dogs at Dodger Stadium change brands .
The Dodger Dogs , as they are known, have been an iconic food for fans at Dodger Stadium, a stadium where more than 3 million visitors arrive each season, the exception being 2020 due to the pandemic.
After half a century, the Farmer John sausage brand is no longer linked to the Dodgers .

It is worth mentioning that Farmer John was in the news during the past year due among other reasons to fatalities COVID Outbreaks – 19 at its packing plant in Vernon , a small town located just 5 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Times obtained a statement from Smithfield Foods, the company to which Farmer John belongs, which reads: “Farmer John had a long and valuable relationship with the Dodgers. After season of 2019, Farmer John made the difficult business decision not to renew his contract with the Dodgers… Unfortunately, after the last contract negotiations we were unable to reach an agreement that was beneficial to both parties. ”.
