India set another world record for new COVID cases – 19 in a period of 24 hours, as medical officials scrambled to figure out how to meet oxygen demands in the nation’s hospitals, Friday.

On Friday, India reported 332, 730 new cases of infections and 2, 263 deaths over a period of 24 hours, according to data s of the government .

More than 4 million new cases in one month

So far in April, cases have increased significantly: India has reported more than 4 million cases as of Friday and at least 24, 452 people have died.
