The Boulder District Attorney’s Office, in Colorado, has filed 43 additional felony charges against the suspect in a mass shooting at King Soopers , bringing the total number of charges filed in the mass shooting that occurred last month to more than 50, reported KKTV .
The shooting occurred on 22 March in broad daylight at a King Soopers Market on Table Mesa Drive . Ten people, including a police officer, died. Shortly after the shooting, they announced 10 first degree murder charges against Ahmad Alissa, along with an assassination attempt for allegedly shooting another officer.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, from 21 years, now facing 33 further charges of attempted murder in the first degree, one of assault in the first degree and 10 charges for possession of a prohibited large capacity ammunition magazine.
Colorado lawmakers banned the sale of ammunition magazines containing more than 15 rounds in 2013, in response to the previous year’s mass shootings at a Denver suburban movie theater and at the elementary school Sandy Hook in Connecticut.
Researchers have said that Alissa legally purchased the Ruger AR pistol – 556 , which resembles an AR rifle – 15 with a stock a little shorter. He is charged with using it in the shooting, six days after passing a background check.
The 34 Total counts of assassination attempts named now 18 victims, including 11 Law enforcement officers, that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, of 21 years, he is accused of trying to kill during the attack.
Some of the charges are for attempted murder after deliberation, and others are for extreme indifference; some of the named victims are under both charges.

The Boulder District Attorney is expected to hold a press conference on Thursday around 10 am (local time) to give an update on the investigation.
The next appearance of the suspect in court is scheduled for the 25 May.
Alissa’s defense has asked for time to evaluate what one of his attorneys called his “mental illness,” but has not provided details about that condition. Public defenders representing him are prohibited from speaking to the media about the case.
