Florentino Pérez: “They have killed us with terrible aggression”
The idea of the European Super League seems to have lost strength after the constant criticism around the realization of this tournament. Several teams have stepped aside to participate in this competition. However, one of the most injured and affected by the reaction was Florentino Pérez , the pioneer and head of this initiative. In an interview for El Larguero, the president of Real Madrid stood firm and expressed his rejection of the criticism around to the Super League.

One of the people who was totally against the realization of the tournament was Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA President . Florentino Pérez attacked the leader of European football and motivated him to start setting a good example, as he considers that their attacks and pardons were excessive as if they had murdered a person

“ I want an educated president, who does not insult. As simple as that and that we discuss, do not trip (…) that way of pardoning a centennial president. I would have to set an example (…) I have never seen such aggressiveness from the UEFA president. It has been orchestrated. I have never seen it. Threats and pardons as if we had killed someone. Soccer must be saved ”, he emphasized.

Florentino also expressed his disagreement in the way in which people linked to this sport have reacted. The businessman considers that they were waiting for the right moment to start with a sea of criticism. “ They have killed us with terrible aggression . They’re waiting for us. When all this happens and reality comes, we will see what happens. Clubs are going to lose more than two billion ”, he assured.
Forget galactic signings: goodbye Mbappé and Haaland
Florentino Pérez assured that due to how the club economy is doing, due to the pandemic, no club may make important signings that break the market such big purchases.

“ It is impossible to have big transfers if the money does not flow . They have not even let us say that it is solidarity (…) in all companies wages have been lowered. We have all made a sacrifice and football needs a sacrifice . We will continue working in this Super League ”, concluded the businessman.
Undoubtedly these words may have something to do with the additions of the merengue team for next season. Under the pretext of not being able to start the Super League , it will be up to Florentino Pérez to decide whether or not to hire his long-awaited Haaland or Mbappé.
