Jary Franco does not believe everything that has happened to him in recent months, especially because – ironically – for many years the mariachi music that he performs has been ignored and little promoted in the country that saw it.

However, the situation is changing, not only for Jary but for the industry. And all because a new generation of artists, like Jary himself, Christian Nodal, Ángela Aguilar and Álex Fernández, have given a new impulse and new airs to Mexican wild music.

“I believe that to the new generations, if they identify with a song, if it resembles its history, the genre does not matter,” said the interpreter from Guadalajara, Mexico, a few days ago during the interview he offered to speak of a song he recorded with Banda Los Recoditos. “That helps the music.”

Jary spoke from the Mexican city of Mazatlán, bastion of the Sinaloan band, where he was accompanied by the three vocalists of Recoditos because together They recorded the song and the video clip for “Me sobrabas tú”, a song that was a success of this group and that has now been immortalized in its ranchera version.

“The collaboration took place for the friendship with Jary ”, said Eduardo Loaiza, one of the three Recoditos singer. “And because we have always been admirers of mariachi music.”

This single is included in Jary’s new album, entitled “Sin Fear”, an album that includes 19 topics written by authors such as Edén Muñoz, Horacio Palencia, Geovani Cabrera and Adrián Navarro.

In addition to having collaborated on the album of the Jalisco singer, Los Recoditos invited Jary to sing on their recent tour of the United States; he’s in charge of opening the show. They have already visited places like Las Vegas and Louisiana and are preparing to go to other places that are already open after the number of infections due to covid was reduced – 19.

This weekend Los Recoditos and Jary They will offer shows in various cities on the East Coast, and then, as economies open, they will visit places on the West Coast. Central and South America is also pending –the tour included Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Peru and probably Colombia–, a tour that was cut short last year due to the pandemic.

For now, it was only the Recoditos singers who intervened in Jary’s album, but it is possible that in the not too distant future the man from Guadalajara will start singing with a brass band, something he has already done but only improvised.

“Maybe one day,” said Jary, from 24 years. “I do not rule”.
