87 million under extreme cold and frost alerts in the United States

A strong cold front across the central United States will bring record cold air to the region for the next few days.

The low temperature warnings and Frost have increased from Texas to the Great Lakes with possible historical lows, reported Fox News .

The following tweet from the National Meteorological Service (NWS) shows the forecast of high temperatures for the west of the country and a very cold air mass in the central third of the country with temperatures well below average.

Heavy snow and extreme cold

, while Indianapolis, Cleveland and Buffalo expect up to several inches of snow between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, reported The Washington Post.

The National Meteorological Service has issued alerts and warnings of casualties temperatures and frost for 87 millions of Americans from Texas to Virginia.

For Thursday morning, the temperatures will be at least 10 degrees below normal from eastern Montana to northern Florida.

Freeze alerts stretch as far south as Texas and the north Georgia mountains. Cover up or bring inside your sensitive plants, if possible.

But those who do not like this weather similar to February in April, will not have to wait too long for a respite. Many of these same areas are available to reach the 80 degrees and having a summer heat next week.

A major pattern change will bring a virtual seasonal reversal in the eastern half of the country, when the cold air mass will be swept away by the heat and humidity of the Gulf of Mexico.

Snowfall since Tuesday

This latest winter weather arrival was already hitting parts of the High Plains and Rockies.

Jamestown, Colorado, located in the mountains west of Boulder, picked up 15. 3 inches of snow. Boulder finished with 9 inches, while downtown Denver reported 4.8 inches. At Fort Collins the snowfall reached 6.4 inches.

Snow topped marks for these dates in parts of Kansas, such as Hays, along the Interstate 70 west of Salina, where they fell seven inches. Topeka got more than four inches and Kansas City reported snowfall in the early hours of Tuesday.

For Wednesday

Indianapolis, Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo are in line to accumulate snow between Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Indianapolis expects one to two inches of snow Tuesday night, while two to four inches is possible in Toledo, where a winter weather advisory is in effect.

In Cleveland, which is also under a winter weather warning, three to five inches of snow are expected on Wednesday, that amount of snow is rare at these season heights.

Snowfall will continue into western Pennsylvania, upstate New York and northern Vermont as the cold front clears slides east on Wednesday. Buffalo is under a winter weather warning with snowfall between three and six inches.

Widespread freezing temperatures

Behind the cold front, temperatures between 15 Y 25 degrees below average will spread across the central United States from North Texas to the Ohio Valley and the Appalachians to the west. Several records could be set on Wednesday morning.
