Getting vaccinated will help us return to normal sooner and Costco will offer vaccines against Covid – 19 on 46 states of the country ; know what the requirements are

Costco announced that it will begin the application of vaccines against Covid – 19 in the pharmacies that it has in its branches in the United States , to help advance the inoculation strategy in which the government has placed special emphasis to control the pandemic.
This service will be offered in 46 of the states of the country , as the vaccine batches are received . At the moment the chain has vaccines in Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, New York, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington.
Costco pharmacies have other vaccines such as seasonal influenza, hepatitis A, meningitis and tetanus, which involve a cost to the consumer, but in the case of doses against Covid – 19 will be totally free.
It is very important to point out that although Cost requests the acquisition of a membership to its partners to enter the stores and make purchases , for the purposes of applying the Covid vaccine – 19 no need to count with one or associate the store, the entrance will be free for all those interested in receiving it.
The procedure and requirements to apply the vaccine in Cost are:
– The interested party must schedule an appointment at a Costco location that has already received lots of vaccines (Please check back frequently for availability updates.)
– Be eligible to receive the dose , either by age, comorbidity or for being an essential worker, in the state where the Costco branch is located.
Until now, Costco has not specified the brand of vaccine that it will apply in its stores, but Some currently offer the one developed by Moderna’s laboratory.
The chain of stores assured that will give priority to vaccinate adults older than 65 years of age, health workers and other employees with high-risk jobs .
However, each state has defined its own eligibility guidelines for the vaccine, such as New York where all residents, workers or students older than 16 years of age.
To strengthen the mass vaccination program other stores such as Sam’s Club, Walmart, Albertsons, HEB, Hy-Vee and Walgreens also offer the Covid vaccine – 19, same as CVS and Health Mart pharmacies.
