Amazon launches its own line of food products “Aplenty”

Amazon Inc. introduced Aplenty, its new line of private label food products which are now available online and in physical Amazon Fresh stores in the United States.

Aplenty includes foods such as crackers, condiments, pita chips, mini cookies, among others . Cookie flavors include white cheddar, cheese pizza, and sweet peanut butter. Seasonings include three varieties of mustard, including Dijon, Dijon honey, and Dijon whole grain. Grahams are available in milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and cookies are available in salted caramel chip and chocolate chip flavors. There are three varieties of pita chips available in garlic and parmesan herbs, sea salt, and seven grains and seeds.

This new line seeks to provide “clean” food , for which do not contain artificial flavors, synthetic colors, or high fructose corn syrup.

Amazon plans to release many more products under the Aplenty brand . This is not the first time that the e-commerce giant has entered the world of food, as it already sells milk, frozen vegetables and spices under its Happy Belly brand; as well as meals prepared under Amazon Kitchen and baked goods on Amazon Fresh.

According to the Grocery Tracker report 2021 of JLL, online sales of grocery products increased 52% in the United States during 2020. “People are unlikely to give up online shopping, even when a vaccine is widespread; With improvements in efficiency and cost, many customers have incorporated convenience into their weekly routines, ”the report says.
