The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador described as a “painful matter” that the Governor of Michoacán, Silvano Aureoles, pushed to a rural teacher who protested with banners in Aguililla to demand security.

The Mexican president said that the position of the Ministry of Defense was reaffirmed and that Aureoles was provided protection from the Army to reach the square where some 20 people were demonstrating.
“The Governor decided to go to the plaza, then to protect him, because he arrived in Aguililla by helicopter, he was given Army Protection, then he came to the square and there was a group demonstrating, not many, 10 or 20, we all make mistakes, we are not perfect, I have always said that perfection is from the creator, we always make mistakes ”, He asserted.

López Obrador called for conciliation and reiterated the respectful behavior of the military of not acting in an authoritarian manner.

The PRD president, who arrived at the municipality in the midst of a strong security device operated by elements of the Armed Forces, got out of a military truck and approached the man who was raising two banners asking for safety in his land.
Next to it, his son carried another banner with the message: “I am a child, no more violence in Aguililla.”
Without saying a word, Aureoles approached the man directly and pushed him by the abdomen, which unleashed howls and claims from the villagers who witnessed the incident.
Immediately after, alleged state police in civilian clothes approached and one of them -the Secretary of State Public Security, Israel Patron Reyes- snatched one of the banners from the protester, while the Governor returned to the truck.
Faced with the acts of arrogance, the Governor said through his account from Twitter that the demonstration was of “hawkers” who were insulting the authorities.
