The dream of many has been fulfilled thanks to IHOP who is launching a complete menu with dishes full of bacon called “Bacon Obsession” .
But it’s not just a piece of bacon, it’s a thick-cut, steakhouse-style variety with a maple syrup glaze. “ Steakhouse Premium Bacon is a juicy and delicious thick cut piece of bacon that is five times thicker than regular IHOP bacon , fried until tender, crisp to perfection and finished with a maple glaze for the perfect combination of savory and sweet, ”the release reads.
“ As visitors begin to return to restaurants, we know they are looking for family-friendly comfort foods and engaging, as well as new ways to enjoy classic favorites, and bacon is the perfect choice to suit both needs, ”said IHOP President Jay Johns. it said in a press release. “Our new Steakhouse Premium Bacon and Bacon Obsession menu continues to position us as a leader in breakfast and shows our commitment to innovation during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. We are thrilled to offer a new way for people to enjoy bacon in a way that is more typically seen in fine dining settings, served at IHOP in affordable combinations that can be enjoyed any time of the day. ”
These are the new items on the Bacon Obsession menu:
- Steakhouse Premium Bacon BreakFEAST: two Slices of premium smoked bacon with tender and juicy hickory finished with a slightly sweet maple glaze. Served with golden fries, two eggs your way, and two fluffy buttermilk pancakes.
- Steakhouse Premium Bacon Burger – One slice of tender bacon and Juicy Smoked Walnut Smoke in a Premium Steakhouse with a Slightly Sweet Maple Glaze over our All Natural Black Angus Burger with American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles and our signature IHOP Sauce. Served with a side of French fries, onion rings, or two buttermilk pancakes.
- Steakhouse BLT: Two slices of premium bacon smoked on tender and juicy walnut, finished with a slightly sweet maple glaze over lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and our signature IHOP.
- Candied Bacon Pancakes : Two fluffy buttermilk pancakes loaded with crispy hickory smoked bacon chunks, drizzled with vanilla sauce and dulce de leche caramel sauce. Topped with a slice of candied bacon and topped with whipped topping. Served with Eggs, French Fries, and more.
- Maple Bacon Smoothie – A vanilla smoothie mixed with sweet maple glaze and smoked bacon chunks with Walnut. Topped with whipped topping, a drizzle of maple frosting, and a slice of candied bacon.
- OREO’N Bacon Waffle Sundae: Two quarts stuffed Belgian waffle OREO cookie topped with hickory-smoked bacon chunks, plus OREO cookie chunks, chocolate sauce, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, and a slice of candied bacon.
- Bacon Lovers Combo: Two candied bacon pancakes, served with two slices of hickory smoked bacon and two eggs your way.
