A nine-year-old boy died this Monday in Palmdale after tragic crash that threw him off vehicle on Antelope Valley Expressway (14), heading north, as the authorities said on Tuesday.
The accident took place at 07: 50 Monday pm North of Avenue N. The driver was veered to the middle of the road and then tried to re-enter the highway at approximately 65 miles per hour, according to Jarrod Banta, sergeant with the California Highway Patrol ( CHP .
The driver lost the control, crossed all the lanes and hit an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn , as reported by Banta . The sergeant said they are not considering alcohol or drugs as factors in the accident.
The nine-year-old, from California City in Kern County, was thrown from the Kia Spectra 2008 and died at the scene , according to CHP. His name has not yet been made public pending notification of his close relatives.
The driver of 56 years, Gary Foster, suffered minor injuries, the state agency also said. A woman from 50 years of traveling in the same vehicle, a one-year-old and a one-month-old child suffered minor injuries , authorities said.
