The place where Jesus was born still stands and every year is visited by millions of faithful to venerate him and recreate his arrival to the world

Even before the pandemic paralyzed the world, the manger that saw the birth of Jesus Christ attracted millions of visitors from different parts of the planet every year, who used to kneel and kiss the place where Mary and Joseph welcomed their son.
The The manger is currently located inside the Basilica of the Nativity , in the city of Bethlehem.
The original Basilica was ordered to be built by Constantine , but was severely damaged during the Samaritan revolt in the year 529 . Years later it was replaced by the current temple and whose construction is attributed to Justinian .
Inside the emblematic Basilica, whose architecture is in the classical style, there is still the grotto that he saw born to Jesus. To access it, it is done by the two stairs located just to one side of the choir.

Currently the place is decorated with elements that did not exist at the time of his birth, but that has not been an impediment for the faithful to come to venerate him.
In the place where Jesus Christ was born there is currently a star, while on one side is the place where Mary rested during the birth , as well as the place where Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar, the three Wise Men, were at the time of offering the gold, incense and myrrh to Jesus.
