The suspect of the shooting that killed four people this Wednesday in the city of Orange , California, is in police custody . The man, whose identity has not yet been revealed, is injured although the authorities do not anticipate if the wounds were caused by himself by the shots of an agent.
Four people died in the afternoon this Wednesday inside an Orange office building. In addition to the alleged perpetrator, another person was injured in what was the third recorded shooting in the country in two weeks.
The possible motive for the shooting has not yet been revealed, but Lieutenant Jennifer Amat, a spokeswoman for the Orange Police Department, said officers received at 5: pm a call alerting them that they had heard gunshots at a business in 202 W. Lincoln Avenue. In the two-story building there are several small businesses and it has not yet been made public in which of them the suspect would have opened fire.
The agents found a pistol when they arrived and also opened fire. The responsible for the shooting was taken to a hospital for a gunshot wound and is in critical condition . It was not clear if the wound was self-inflicted or caused by police shooting, the lieutenant said, adding that there is no public threat.
The other injured woman, the fifth victim of the shooting, is also in serious condition since Wednesday night.

Both Orange County Rep. Katie Porter and Californian Senator Tom Umberg expressed their regret on Twitter and said they were going to follow up on the situation.
Rob Bonta, Member of the State Assembly and the Governor Gavin Newsom’s nominee for the California attorney general’s office , referred to the gun violence as “the American disease” .
