At the first corner of the circuit, the driver of 16 year old sped up his motorcycle more than it should, prompting him to do the famous “Highside”. Baltus couldn’t control his machine and was thrown off his motorcycle. The accident was very similar to the one suffered by the Spanish pilot, Marc Márquez, in the year 2020. That accident caused a fracture in his right shoulder from which he still suffers.

The NTS RW Racing driver was treated and quickly removed so that he could later undergo the relevant studies to know the aftermath of the accident . However, Barry Baltus only suffered a couple of fractures to his left wrist . Undoubtedly, a quite encouraging result due to the spectacular nature of his accident.

For now, the pilot must begin his recovery process with the intention of competing in the next Grand Prix on the calendar.
