Soccer players with great careers continue to arrive in North American football. On this occasion, Inter Miami managed to acquire Kieran Gibbs , former Arsenal winger and international with the England national team .
The American team announced the hiring of the defender from 31 years that he played for West Bromwich Albion, in the Premier League. However, the Englishman will join the squad in the summer, once the season in Europe is over. Gibbs has played more than 300 matches in the English league and accumulates 14 seasons. His greatest recognition was achieved at Arsenal, a club with which he won a FA Cup .
Chris Henderson expressed his praise for the English defender. “He has had an outstanding career at the highest level of the sport to date and we believe that he can bring that level of quality to Inter Miami and MLS this summer (…) His technique, experience and work ethic are going to be valuable over the left wing ”, commented the Inter Miami sports director.
The experienced defender pointed out on his Twitter account, the expectation and enthusiasm with which he will face this new challenge. Gibbs will be part of the North American ensemble until 2023.
