Mexican Gilberto Ramírez believes he can beat Mayweather's record

The Mexican Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The fighter has been world champion in the super middle and since 2019 he has risen in category. He currently holds a record of 41 – 0, 27 KO and believes he will be able to surpass Floyd Mayweather’s record of 50 – 0.

“The goal is to continue making history. To be champion again, to be one of the best pound for pound and unify all the titles. Beterbiev made a good comeback, but he has never faced someone like me. ” The ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez commented on the podcast ‘Boxeo a la Carrera’.

Ramírez who signed with Golden Boy a few weeks ago commented that he is very happy with what they offered him and that he will meet with them this Thursday to talk about their next fight. And although he assured that there is still nothing established, he presumes that will be in June.

The ‘Zurdo’ Ramírez has 41 wins at 175 pounds and will look to make history to beat Mayweather’s record of 50 – 0. It is a motivation for me. It is not any pressure, I train a lot, I am disciplined in the gym and I trust my possibilities and abilities, I think that nobody else has them ”, concluded the Mexican boxer.
