Winter storm in Denver: the extraordinary video of lions playing in the snow

The winter storm that hit the Denver area, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, for days Past was recorded as the fourth largest in the history of that city, with more than 27 inches of snow .

The effects of the powerful storm include more than 2, 000 flights that were canceled and many stunning pictures of houses and cars covered in snow .

But perhaps the most extraordinary and memorable image of the storm is that of the lions at the Denver Zoo , released by the zoo itself.

After our keepers got the lion’s share of a workout making Benson Predator Ridge safe, some of our residents felt brave enough to leave their heated rooms to inspect their surroundings.
