Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson's moving message mourning the death of his daughter

Former NFL wide receiver and current ESPN analyst, Keyshawn Johnson revealed Monday night on social media that his eldest daughter, Maia , died at 25 years.

“It is with incredible sadness that I have to share the news about the passing of my beautiful daughter Maia . Maia, as my first daughter, has been the joy of my life and that of her Mother Shikiri ”, Johnson announced on Twitter.

According to USA Today, Maia was the first-born that Johnson had with his ex-wife Shikiri Hightower . The two were married between 1998 and 2021 and also had a son together, Keyshawn Johnson Jr. Johnson also has two young children, London and Vance Johnson, with his current wife Jennifer Conrad.

“ She came into our lives just as we were both coming of age as adults and has been a constant and beloved presence for both of us. We are heartbroken and devastated by his loss. Shikiri, Maia’s siblings, our family and I appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, ”explained the now ESPN analyst.

Along the 11 seasons in the NFL, Johnson played for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers . He currently works for ESPN as an analyst on NFL Live and is the co-host of a radio show.
