TEXAS – A flight that left Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport bound for Los Angeles, California had to be diverted after two women starred in a fight that started with racist insults .
According to a statement from the American Airlines airline, the events occurred on 24 in February on a flight that was heading to Los Angeles, California, but it was diverted to Phoenix, Arizona.
The report indicates that the women identified as Kelly Pirchardo and Leeza Rodríguez allegedly started an altercation between them and when some passengers tried to calm them down, one of them spat at them.
It was reported that the women also physically and verbally assaulted both staff and several clients.
Upon landing in Arizona, the women were arrested by officers and American Airlines has included them on its list restriction while investigating the incident.
In the statement the officers indicated that they are working with the clients involved to make sure they are okay.
