Enrique Garay , TV Azteca commentator, will join the characters who have jumped from sports to politics in Mexico: The narrator will seek the presidency of Huixquilucan, State of Mexico .
Garay will be a candidate of the Morena party, as was announced by the party’s national leader, Mario Delgado, in a video shared on networks
“I’m sure this is going to be the best game of your life and you will not have to narrate it, you will have to live it, so welcome to Morena”, says the message posted on Twitter.

In the video you can also see Garay making his arguments to be the party’s candidate known, and also mentions that despite being originally from Ecatepec he has more than 20 years residing in Huixquilucan.
“We are going to work for Huixquilucan and the flag will be sports and culture,” says the sports commentator.
Enrique Garay would be contending with Romina Contreras Carrasco, wife of Enrique Vargas del Villar, current mayor of Huixquilucan, as she registered as a candidate for the presidency of that municipality by the National Action Party ( PAN).
