Julio César Chávez revealed that the popularity he has gained throughout his career has brought to know the most wanted drug traffickers in the world, such as Ismael “Mayo” Zambada , Amado Carrillo and “Chapo” Guzmán , whom he even called “friends” and described them as “good people” .
In an interview with Javier Alarcón, the Mexican Grand Champion said that has had relationship with the great drug lords of Mexico because he resides in Culiacán, Sinaloa , the cradle of drug trafficking.
“Unfortunately everyone knows that in the city there are the most wanted drug traffickers in the world, but they are just my friends. You cannot refuse to say hello, it is better to have them as friends than as enemies ”, explained Julio César Chávez at the minute 35 of the talk for the podcast “Entre Camaradas”.
