California Governor Gavin Newsom has been campaigning for his impeachment for several months now and the initiative to remove him from office has apparently gained traction, but in an important show of support from the White House, he backed the Democrat earlier this week.
Jen Psaki, Joe Biden’s government communication secretary, assured in a message on the social network Twitter that the White House rejects the attempts to revoke the mandate of California Governor of California Gavin Newsom.
In addition to sharing a commitment to a range of issues with @GavinNewsom from addressing the climate crisis to getting the pandemic under control, @POTUS clearly opposes any effort to recall @GavinNewsom

“In addition to buying With a huge commitment in different areas such as climate change and the pandemic, the president (Joe Biden) is clearly opposed to any effort to revoke Gavin Newsom, ”reads a tweet published last Tuesday.
The campaign to revoke the mandate of the governor, who is two years away from finishing his term, has gained momentum in its attempt to collect at least $ 1.5 million from signatures to force a new election in which there would already be candidates.
The governor has been heavily criticized for the severe trade restrictions implemented in California due to the coronavirus pandemic.
