Bauer will earn 40 million in 2021 and 45 million in 2022 . The Dodgers won the trade from the Mets by offering the 30 -year player a three-year contract and 102 million dollars .
The chance to win a World Series with the team of his hometown weighed Bauer when deciding. Bauer attended Hart High School in Santa Clarita and played at UCLA.
Bauer is coming off his best season in the majors after registering 1. 73 ERA and striking out 100 batters in 73 episodes . Also, won the Cy Young Award of the National League.
