A child was hit by a car that, according to authorities, ran a red light in Sunny Isles Beach, north of Miami.

The driver who hit the minor remained at all times at the scene. A witness reported that the boy tried to cross the street at a crosswalk . He said the traffic light turned red and two cars stopped, so the boy started crossing the street. That’s when the Mercedes-Benz came and passed by.
