Pleaded “guilty”: Tom Brady admitted his dark side and apologized to Tyrann Mathieu

The veteran quarterback of 43 years also told Mathieu that he had watched him since his days at LSU and praised him for his heart, calling him a “leader and champion with incredible class.”

Brady expressed his desire to apologize in person in the future. He said his outbursts, in an emotional moment, were in no way a reflection of his feelings towards Mathieu , whom he spoke highly of during the week leading up to the match.

Mathieu explained his version of the altercation by saying in a tweet, which he later withdrew, that Brady started the verbal dispute when he called Mathieu “ something I will not repeat. ”

“ Clearly it was provoking me, but they controlled me ”, expressed Mathieu in another deleted tweet.

The cameras showed the two players in a constant confrontation during the first half of the match.

The Chiefs defender told reporters after the game that he saw a different side of Brady.

“Tom Brady is a great quarterback. I never really saw that side of Tom Brady, to be honest. But whatever. No comment. It’s over. I’m done , ”Mathieu told Pro Football Talk.

Mathieu, 28, was about to have an interception in the match, but was rejected by a penalty.
