The variant of the coronavirus, COVID – 19 that was first found in the UK and that is Considered more contagious and even more deadly, it is spreading rapidly in the United States, roughly doubling every 10 days, according to a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

By analyzing half a million coronavirus tests and hundreds of genomes, A team of researchers predicted that within a month this variant could become predominant in the United States, which could lead to an increase in new cases and an increased risk The New York Times reported.
The investigation offers the first nationwide look at the history of the variant, known as B.1.1.7, since arriving in the United States in late 2020. Given this, since then researchers pointed out that it could become predominant in March if it behaved as it did in Great Britain, a fact that would be confirmed with this study.
