Chiefs coach nearly kills boy in accident and will miss Super Bowl

Britt Reid outside linebacker coach and son of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid nearly killed a child in a car accident and will now miss the Super Bowl.

Britt Reid was involved in a multi-car accident Thursday night that left a 5-year-old boy with serious life-threatening injuries.

Andy Reid’s son will not travel to Tampa with the rest of the team and will most likely be lost the Super Bowl against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source cited by ESPN.

Local media reported that the accident happened when two cars were stopped on an entrance ramp to the Interstate 435 in Kansas City when Britt Reid arrived and in a third vehicle and collided with them.
