A Florida Keys man was arrested Friday after allegedly trying to force a teenage girl into his vehicle. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Steven Hamley, aged 61 and from Stock Island, approached the victim of 19 years and asked him if he would help him find a lost dog.
Victim told police that Hamley got out of his Honda CR -V gold and tried to force her to get into the vehicle.

the police and, after explaining to the officers what had happened, one recalled seeing a vehicle that matched the description in a grocery store that morning.

After reviewing the video surveillance cameras, the agents found that the driver matched the description of the suspect that the girl had given.
The agents put an alert and the vehicle was located in a short time in the Perry hotel parking lot . Officers detained Hamley after he was seen walking toward his vehicle. The defendant admitted to asking “a pretty girl” about a missing dog.

The victim identified Hamley as the man who attacked her and was arrested . Officers also found 2.3 grams of marijuana and a pipe inside Hamley’s vehicle.
The man was transferred to jail.
