The UNAM Pumas passed over Mazatlán this Sunday with a 3-0 win in a match on the second day of the Clausura tournament 2021 of Mexican soccer.
Facundo Waller, Carlos Gutiérrez and Emanuel Montejano converted for the university students into a duel that was one-sided from the beginning.

In CU, the Pumas scored soon their territory and just in the minute 11 took advantage of u n absent-minded defender Efraín Velarde and took a 1-0 lead with a goal from Waller from Alan Mozo’s pass.
The university students took over the middle of the field against a Mazatlán that in the first half only had a dangerous play , a shot from Velarde to the crossbar.

The second part started slow, but soon after 10 minutes the Pumas returned to take possession of the ball ; In the 61, in another defense failure, Gutiérrez converted a pass from Montejano in a play started with a goal kick.
At 71, in a corner kick, Montejano celebrated his debut in the First Division in the best way by rescuing a rebound and putting the ball into the net to make it 3-0 .

Mazatlán coach, Tomás Boy, he showed his anger with four changes that renewed the defense seconds after the goal , but the damage was done and he suffered his first defeat as a strategist for the Mexican Pacific team.
The UNAM Pumas reached four points and Mazatlán stayed at three.
On the following date, the Mazatlán will host Santos Laguna next Friday and the Pumas will visit Querétaro on Sunday.
