High temperatures and high winds in Southern California on Thursday resulted in a Thousand Oaks wildfire , northwest of Los Angeles.
The Erbes Fire, near the Freeway 23, started around 5 pm and was growing, causing the evacuation of residents. At 6: 30 pm the fire was 250 acres.

Thousand Oaks, which is part of Ventura County, was one of the cities most affected in recent years by wildfires as be a vast hilly region, including the devastating Woolsey Fire of 2018.

The fire brings sad images to residents of the region that flooded the entire state in 2020, the worst year ever for wildfires in California.
Estimated to be winds in the area ranged from 20 to 25 miles per hour. Daytime temperatures were up to the middle of 80 degrees F. It usually rains in January in Southern California.
