A Moscow swimmer dived into the frozen Lake Baikal, in Siberia, to break the Guinness World Record of I swim longer under ice.
Yekaterina Nekrasova , from 40 years, he was wearing only a one-piece bathing suit when he dived into Lake Baikal and swam a distance of approximately 280 feet under the ice without surfacing in search of air.
Nekrasova, to whom Guinness rules prohibited him from wearing a wetsuit or fins during his swimming voyage, he completed the feat in about 1 and a half minutes.
The Russian broke the previous world record, which was set by the South African swimmer Amber Fillary while touring 70 meters under the Norwegian ice, in 2020.
