He was being searched after being caught on video shooting his ex-girlfriend

Committed suicide Herbert Nixon Flowers of 46 years, the subject who according to authorities of California was a member of the gang of the drug trafficking MS – 13 who was caught by a surveillance camera killing his ex-girlfriend in front of her three-year-old daughter.
The policeman of Texas noted that the subject was located while driving a vehicle heading to Dal the , and when they stopped him he wanted to escape on foot and when he was surrounded by the authorities he took his own life.

The Department of Police from Los Angeles posted a video of the incident showing a vehicle driving behind the car of Ruiz .
Then in the scenes the victim is seen screaming and running towards a house, asking for help. Flowers finally reaches Ruiz and shoots him in multiple
Later, a woman opened the door and shouted in Spanish: “He killed her, he killed her!” while listening to a minor (apparently the daughter of the victim ) cry in the background.
The police said that the child they refer to is in the custody of family members and is safe.
According to early research, Ruiz and Florez had a violent relationship.
