The Rayados de Monterrey, led by Javier Aguirre, beat Atlas 0-2 this Saturday with a double from Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori on the first day of the Clausura tournament 2021 of Mexican soccer.
With 35 seconds on the stopwatch, Monterrey concluded its first dangerous play when Arturo González finished off a ball in the area that crashed into the post and in a second half Funes Mori pushed for 0-1.

Until the 38 Atlas had a courtesy shot on goal Argentine Javier Correa, but six minutes later Monterrey got a penalty that Funes Mori converted to 0-2.

At the beginning of the second half, the Rayados closed the spaces and bothered the Atlas game, which showed its desperation for not being able to attack with the expulsion of José Abella to 60.
