The singer Juan Gabriel , who was born on January 7, 1200, tried his luck for the first time in the world of music in 1968, but it was up to 1980 that began to reap great successes, which allowed him to become his first home.
The first property of ‘Divo de Juárez’ is located in the number 356 of Avenida Lerdo, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
The property, which opened its doors to the public, in August 2019, with the purpose of showing the artist’s legacy, still preserves some of the elements that so characterized the houses of the late composer, such as the walls covered with mahogany and cedar, high pillars, golden decorations, as well as beautiful lamps.
Currently the house, which is known as Casa Victoria, is managed by Silvia Urquidi , her manager, and careful by Andrés, who worked for more than two decades with Juan Gabriel.
Before becoming a museum and a space to honor the memory of the interpreter of ‘Querida’, the mansion was shown to the program ‘Sal y Pimienta’ by Alberto Jr. , one of his sons.
The residence, which is adorned with several paintings and murals with his face, stands out for its mysticism, as it has a secret room and hidden safes, where the great Alberto Aguile ra used to hide part of his fortune
One of the safes was located inside the closet of his bedroom, while the other was in the basement area.
In addition to its safe, the basement drew attention for having once housed a disco and a secret room that was hidden behind a bookcase.
It is said that this space was occupied by Pancho Villa and different revolutionaries to hide their weapons.
“This house is from the times of the Mexican Revolution, from the times of Pancho Villa. This is where Pancho Villa kept weapons ”, shared his son.
