A rumor that testing by a coronavirus testing provider in Los Angeles could be giving false results , you have created much uncertainty in the Los Angeles community.
Curative, a coronavirus testing provider that supplies specimen collection kits in at least 10 of the county’s mobile sites, would be the one in the middle of the controversy following reports from the FDA stating that their tests could be giving inaccurate results.

The Curative test, unlike the conventional one, is a rapid test that takes a sample from the patient using saliva present in the mouth after coughing repeatedly and not through the nose. But according to FDA records, when the firm requested the emergency permit, it assured in its documents that the test would be provided exclusively in people with visible symptoms of the disease and supervised by a health specialist, however, in practice this has not been the case .
Curative tests are administered by the same patient in his car and They only receive a brief instruction by the staff present on site. After collecting the sample, people should deposit their kit in a specific area where they do not interact with anyone.
Also, at least in the case of Los Angeles, the firm would be supplying the tests to asymptomatic people due to local ordinance which opened the testing system for all citizens, but this practice now has created a great uncertainty about the veracity of negative findings in people without symptoms.
But despite the fact that the mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti acknowledged on Thursday at a press conference that the firm’s tests were for people with visible symptoms, he assured that they have also been effective detecting cases in asymptomatic people.
The firm has not only conducted tests in Los Angeles but also in large cities such as Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Miami and Seattle.
