Protests by ardent supporters of Donald Trump which included a raid on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC , spread to other parts of the country such as Los Angeles.
Photos and videos on social networks gave an account of the protests and some fights that occurred in downtown Los Angeles . The protesters gathered in front of the Police Building, across the street from City Hall. Virtually none of them wore a face mask .

Some lawsuits forced the Police to declare the meeting or assembly illegal . An officer explained this to a group of supporters of the outgoing president.
The protesters were shouting threatening slogans at the policemen.

It is estimated that there were some 200 protesters, at the same time that thousands and many of them managed to enter the Congress headquarters .
In Los Angeles, no serious incidents were reported, but there were several arrests and the situation remained tense in the area. Eventually more security forces arrived and the protesters began to disperse.
