The government of the United States is already sending the second round of economic stimulus payments and many people are waiting longer than necessary , without knowing it.

The New York Times reports that a large number of payments have been sent to accounts to which taxpayers do not have access because they are already inactive or were temporary .

The Tax Preparation Company Jackson Hewitt , commented that the Internal Revenue Service had sent payments around 13 millions of bank accounts that already are not open or are not valid.

It is explained that companies like TurboTax , H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt sometimes open temporary accounts for their clients when they prepare their respective tax returns .

In these cases , to customers who request that be charged their refund preparation fee , you can open one of these temporary accounts so that the tax company collects its share , before transferring the rest.

After the service provided, accounts are generally inactive , but may remain linked to taxpayers in IRS records .

H&R Block commented that he is transferring payments to your clients’ bank accounts; TurboTax ensures that they are already working with the IRS so that taxpayers receive their payments immediately; and Jackson Hewitt suggests in your website that customers consider taking the refund on their return Tax of 2021.

The IRS must issue payments by 15 from January and people who do not receive it can get it back on your tax return of 2020 .

Taxpayers can verify the status of your stimulus payments with the tool Get My Payment and in case of no r recognize the account number that received the payment, it could be one of these temporary accounts .
