Dr. Dre announced on his social networks that he is “very well” after being hospitalized for a possible brain aneurysm.
“I thank my family, friends and fans for their interest and good wishes. I am very well and I receive excellent care from my medical team . I will be leaving the hospital and coming home soon. Greetings to all the great professionals at Cedars Hospital, “wrote the rapper on his Instagram account.
Dr. Dre, 55, posted the message to clear the rumors when information about his condition began to circulate.
The rapper, whose real name is Andre Young, is one of the most influential figures in hip hop after rising to fame with gangsta rap pioneers NWA over the years 80.
Dr. Dre is credited with helping launch the careers of Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar, among several other artists. The news of his hospitalization triggered a large number of messages of support on the networks, including from other musicians.
The media reported that the winner of seven awards Grammy was in intensive care. His visit to the hospital came amid a growing crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic that is hitting Los Angeles, in the United States.
