Texas Doctor Uses Lice Drug on COVID-19 Patients; assures that some have been cured

TEXAS – While hospitalizations continue to increase due to the effects of the pandemic, a doctor in San Antonio is experimenting with a treatment that could be considered a bit rare.

San Antonio doctor, Hoan Pho is treating patients who come to his hospital sick with COVID – 19 with a drug that is regularly used to fight lice .

Pho says that studies carried out by the laboratory that produces the drug Ivermectin indicate that The drug is safe to treat coronavirus.

Pho, who specializes in internal medicine said the drug Ivermectin has been successful in treating several of his patients, in some cases killing the virus in a period of 48 hours.

The antiparasitic drug is available without major inconvenience, and it has a cost of about $ 20 dollars.

Pho said he’s been used drug in some patients for a month with positive results and several recoveries.

“Around 50 to 50 patients when taking the drug did not have to be hospitalized and did not need to undergo additional treatments ”, said Pho. The doctor said that half of the patients he has treated with the drug were older than 65 years .

Pho said that patients suffering from COVID – 19 are prescribed Ivermectin with other drugs and supplements.
