Man brutally stabbed in the back in Brooklyn; suspect detained following blood trail

A man was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times in the back and neck in a brutal attack in Brooklyn (NYC).

According to the police, the victim of 32 years old was with a woman outside a building in Church Avenue near East 37 th Street in East Flatbush when they were attacked around 11: 20 pm Monday.

The suspect followed the couple into the lobby of the building, after a verbal dispute for unknown reasons. The man was cut off several times and the wife of 30 years, believed to be his girlfriend, was stabbed in the forearm.

Investigators found the suspect, Anthony Peters (26), entrenched in the second floor of the building after following a trail of blood. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

A knife and pistol were recovered at the scene. The unidentified victims were taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where the man is listed in critical condition and the woman in stable condition, reported New York Post.
