Dayquan Dubose was arrested on suspicion of having used a machete to kill his grandfather and injure two other members of the family, including his 4-year-old sister, inside an apartment in Brooklyn (NYC ).
The three victims were attacked in a second-floor apartment in a building in 300 Putnam Avenue, near Nostrand Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 6: 20 pm Sunday, police said.
The attack is believed to be related to a domestic dispute. Dubose, 22, allegedly first cut off the girl’s right leg. He then fatally stabbed his 79 year-old grandfather in the stomach, before cutting his brother-in-law of 49 years on the right hand, police sources said.
The grandfather died in a nearby hospital. The other two victims were hospitalized in stable condition. A witness was able to hold Dubose until police arrived, reported Newsweek.
