Three bites, two sauces
” I wanted to undertake from my 15 years. And it was in the face of the observation that I could not find Afro-Caribbean products in mass distribution or in frozen food stores that I decided to launch myself two years ago in these products which take a long time to prepare in a society that goes faster and faster, ”she explains. It then begins its production and distribution. On the menu: mikaté (Congolese specialty made from flour and fried sugar), acras (small fried donuts with cod, herbs and spices) and pastels (Senegalese specialty with tuna and spices). Two sauces complement the appetizers.
What about the name, Kaja? It is a reference to the brand’s family history. The main source of inspiration for Audrey Tshiosha. Kaja is her middle name and her maternal grandmother’s last name. For her creations, she was directly inspired by Afro-Caribbean recipes that her mother prepared for her.
The ambition to be in more than two distribution locations in 2021
Audrey’s project Tshiosha like that of the other five winners stood out by “mixing commitment, environmental responsibility, societal vision, originality and ambition”, welcomed at the award ceremony, Loïc Dupont, president of Initiative Ile-de-France . With this award, the young woman herself becomes an “ambassador” of these Ile-de-France women entrepreneurs.
Since July, its first products have been sold in two stores in the Paris region: In Seine-Saint-Denis and in the Val de Marne. Thanks to her victory at “Créatrices d’avenir” – her third trophy for Kaja – Audrey Tshiosha will now be able to buy machines for her production. It will also launch a marketing campaign with the objective of establishing itself in more distribution points.
