Josefina Pérez De La Rosa died after being shot several times in the stomach and chest on a street, two blocks from her home in Queens (NYC) .

The victim of 37 years was shot around 3: 30 pm on Saturday, opposite 31 – 17 97 th St. at East Elmhurst. She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where she died, reported New York Post.

He was shot four times, once in the chest, twice in the stomach and once in the right pelvis, according to police sources. The attacker fled after the shooting and no arrests have been announced.

A witness told police he heard a woman screaming for help and saw a man armed shooting him, according to sources. It is unclear if the victim, who left two orphaned children, knew her attacker.
