Virginia: Man charged in shooting triggered by 1 parking lot dispute

A man was arrested in connection with a shooting in Virginia that injured one person and apparently stemmed from a fight over a parking spot.

The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries not life threatening after Saturday’s shooting at a housing complex in Chester, the Chesterfield County Police Department said in a news release Sunday.

Police He did not say what led to the shooting, but news outlets reported that it happened after a group of people started the dispute over the parking space.

Rakim Jackson was charged with multiple charges, including malicious wounding and discharging a firearm into an occupied building. It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
