A post that many attribute to the official Instagram account of the Minister.
A denial itself denied
The controversy has swelled so much that Marlène Schiappa’s entourage has been forced to react . “The minister has not published anything, nor her team and she never does a sponsored or similar post,” a source told HuffPost on Monday morning. But just a few hours later, the same entourage started backpedaling, no longer indicating a wrong post, but denying, through a press release signed by the minister’s lawyer, Me Julia Minkowski, “any use of product placement or sponsored post on Instagram. Any statement to the contrary would amount to defamation. ”
“We will be very vigilant about respecting the rights of Minister Marlène Schiappa and we will be forced to prosecute any person who would participate in his defamatory allegations (…) ”, we can read in this press release.
Still questioned by HuffPost, the entourage of
the Minister affirms that she has put her Instagram account in private mode ( only his subscribers can now see the content of his account) after several cyberstalking messages and threats.
